Regular deadline October 31, $6
Late deadline November 30 $25
WOEFF is looking for anything that falls under the broad umbrella of “experimental film.” We’re interested in unusual techniques, fringe topics, edge cases, longing outsiders and fed-up insiders, films that break machines, films that channel rage onto celluloid, films that quietly observe, films that chaotically invent. Films by thoughtful weirdos, intuitive poets, structuralists, purists, Luddites, avant-gardists, experimenters, artisans.
WOEFF will take place in person in Oklahoma City in Spring 2027 and will, as always, be free to attend. We plan to continue to include artist talks, introductions by film scholars and students, and/or panel discussions.
Submissions will only be accepted through FilmFreeway. At this time, we are planning an all-digital screening; if your film is best screened on 8mm, 16mm, or 35mm, let us know and we can see what is possible. Due to programming limitations, we are only accepting films under 25 minutes long.
There are no completion date or premiere status requirements.
Prepare your film for an English-speaking/reading audience. Provide English subtitles as appropriate.
Submissions accepted worldwide; no restrictions on production date or premiere status. Unfortunately, at this time we are unable to pay screening or travel fees to filmmakers.
